Team Selection Options

Salary Cap
With the salary cap drafting system, a fantasy owner will choose golfers based on point values. Each golfer will have a point value associated with him, and a fantasy team cannot exceed a maximum number of salary cap points. With this team selection type, a golfer can be owned by numerous fantasy teams. The golfer point values, the maximum amount of salary cap points per team, and the number of golfers per team can be set up manually by the commissioner, or you can choose a default system.

Tiers
The tiered drafting system allows a league to place golfers into different tiers/classes. The league commissioner then chooses how many tiers there will be (2 up to 20), what tier each golfer is placed into, and the amount of golfers a fantasy team may choose from each tier. A default tier system is available for use. With this team selection type, a golfer can be owned by numerous fantasy teams.

Weighted
The weighted drafting system allows team owners to select golfers into different weighted groupings. The commissioner of the league can create groups (2 up to 20) and assign "multiply by" values for these groups. The weighted groups are then used to multiply against the golfer's earnings. This team selection type can only be used with earnings scoring. With this draft type, a golfer can be owned by numerous fantasy teams.

Choose Any
This team selection option allows team owners to select any golfers that are available in your league. With this team selection type, a golfer can be owned by numerous fantasy teams.

Draft/Auction
When choosing the draft/auction option, you will be responsible for having your draft or auction separately from BuzzFantasyLeagues.com. Buzz Fantasy Leagues does not accommodate live drafts or auctions at this time. After you have your draft or auction, you will enter the teams manually. With this team selection type, a golfer can be owned by only one fantasy team.

Roster Management

Static Rosters With Starting Lineups
Teams will select their rosters once at the beginning of the league. After rosters are set, team owners will then set a starting lineup each week. With this option, the commissioner can set the min and max roster size as well as the min and max starting amounts. Other customized settings include min and max starting amounts for special events, salary cap for starters, and restricting the amount of times a golfer can be started.

Static Rosters With No Starting Lineups
Teams will select their rosters once at the beginning of the league and all golfers will be used each week. With this option, the commissioner can set the min and max roster size as well as the min and max roster size for special events.

Dynamic Rosters With Starting Lineups
The commissioner can determine which tournaments to allow fantasy owners to select new rosters. Teams will select their rosters periodically throughout the season, and then set starting lineups weekly. With this option, the commissioner can set the min and max roster size as well as the min and max starting amounts. Other customized settings include min and max roster size for special events, min and max starting amounts for special events, salary cap for starters, and restricting the amount of times a golfer can be started.

Dynamic Rosters With No Starting Lineups
The commissioner can determine which tournaments to allow fantasy owners to select new rosters. Teams will select their rosters for tournaments that are set up to allow roster changes. The most common approach for this option is to allow roster changes for all tournaments in your league. All golfers will be used each week to accumulate scoring for teams. With this option, the commissioner can set the min and max roster size. Other customized settings include min and max roster size for special events and restricting the amount of times a golfer can be used.

League Transactions

Free Agent Transactions
Commissioners can choose to allow free agent pickups from week to week. Team owners will be able to add and drop golfers on a first come, first serve basis. The amount of transactions can be limited by the commissioner of the league.

Waiver Wire
A waiver wire can be set up for private leagues, and a start and end date can be set to determine the waiver wire period. Commissioners can choose to have a waiver period as well as a free agent period, or they can set it up as waivers only. Waiver wires can be ordered based on standings or last transaction date.

Blind Bidding
Blind bidding can be set up for private leagues, and a start and end date can be set to determine the blind bidding period. Commissioners can choose to have a blind bidding period as well as a free agent period, or they can set it up as blind bidding only. Blind bidding can be set up to have a cap on amount a team can bid for the season.

Trading
A commissioner can allow trading for draft/auction leagues, where golfers cannot be owned by multiple teams.

Scoring Types

Earnings Scoring
Earnings based scoring accumulates the golfers earnings for all of the tournaments within your fantasy season. Choosing the earnings based scoring along with the weighted team selection system allows the commissioner to set up "multiply by" amounts for each group. Each group is then multiplied by the golfer's earnings to come up with a net result. With earnings scoring, you can choose to multiply earnings by up to 5 times for tournaments that are marked as special events.

To Par Scoring
This scoring system can only be chosen for a single tournament contest. With this scoring system, a fantasy team's golfers '"to par" score is added up. The team with the lowest number would be considered the winning team. The commissioner will set the number of golfers in which to accumulate (i.e. best three) scores, so you must have a minimum of that set number of golfers make the cut.

Place Finished Scoring
Scoring will be based where each golfer places in each tournament. The commissioner can set the points to award for a 1st place finish, a bonus amount for finishing in 1st place, and points to subtract for each place below 1st place.

Strokes Scoring
Scoring will be based on the amount of strokes a golfer has in each tournament. This option can be set to accumulate points by tournament round or by total strokes. The commissioner can set the points to award for the lowest amount of strokes, a bonus amount for finishing in 1st place, and points to subtract for each stroke above the lowest stroke amount.

Result Category Scoring
Scoring will be based on golfer result categories. This option allows the commissioner to award points for 1st place finishes, 2nd place finishes, 3rd place finishes, top 10 finishes, top 25 finishes, making a cut, missing a cut, and shooting a low round in a tournament.

Tournament Management

Tournament Selection
The fantasy golf commissioner can choose to run a single tournament league, or a multiple tournanament league. All PGA tournaments will be listed for the current golf season. As the commissioner, you can break up your league into segments, you can mark specific tournaments that you want to allow roster changes, and mark tournaments as special events. You also have the option to set a weekly deadline for making lineup updates. If a weekly deadline is not set, the starting time of the tournament is used as the deadline.
